This one's for my people.

I spent the last stretch of my life building a 10,000 sqft indoor dog park, bar, cafe, and kennels and self grooming in a building in downtown Everett. October 9 is a soft launch celebration with DJ, food, and drink.

I wanted the people I actually know and love,
standing in it — the ones who show up, who dress up, who know how to make a room worth
being in. If you're reading this, that's you. Come see the thing I built. Bring your dog.
Bring the friend who'd get it.

The point of this place is a community of people whose dogs run together. That starts with
the room I fill on opening night, and I'd rather it be full of you.

TWO ROOMS, ONE NIGHT

Here's how the building works, because it matters for your dog.

The indoor dog park is open. All night. Turf, room to run, dogs off leash, people
standing around with a drink watching their dogs lose their minds. This is the quiet side.

Barkside Cafe, right next door, is where the DJ and the dancing are. Food, the bar,
the decks, the disco ball, the dance floor. Adjacent to the park, not inside it.

You move between the two all night. Bring your dog out to the park, let them run, come
back for a drink and a dance. Nobody's stuck picking one.

ABOUT THE SOUND — WE THOUGHT THIS THROUGH

We are not putting a wall of subwoofers in a room full of dogs. Dogs hear roughly four
times better than we do, and a night of that is not a favor to anybody's animal.

So the sound lives in the cafe. That's where the system is aimed and where the volume
happens. The park side stays at a level where you can hold a conversation, and your dog
can walk away from the music any time they want — which is the whole reason the two rooms
are separate.

If your dog turns out to hate it anyway, take them home, come back, no hard feelings. You
know your dog.

WHAT YOUR TICKET GETS YOU

• Heavy appetizers. Actual food, not chips in a bowl. Included.

• $20 in drinks. Booze or no booze, your call — the tap wall, a cocktail, or NA all night.
  Nobody's auditing your glass.

• DJs all night in the cafe. Lineup announced soon.

• The indoor dog park, open the whole time.

• Good people. That part is on me and I've handled it.

• Your dog, if you handle the registration below.

TICKETS — THE PRICE GOES UP IN BLOCKS

• People 1 through 25 — $25

• People 26 through 100 — $35

• Everybody after that, in advance — $45

• At the door on the night — $69

Every ticket at every price gets the apps and the $20 bar credit. So the $25 seat is
dinner and a drink tab for five bucks. The $69 at the door is what you pay for thinking
about it too long.

THE PART YOU SHOULD ACTUALLY READ — $99 MEMBERSHIP FOR $20

Annual membership at Pawsome Park is $99 a year. For anybody at this party, it's $20.

Here's what's inside the membership, at the prices anybody else pays for these things:

• Behavior assessment — $45. This is the gate. It's what gets your dog approved for
  off-leash, and every park dog needs it.

• Three park visits — $105. A day pass is $35, so that's three of them.

• $50 in food and drink credit at Barkside Cafe.

• $10 in towel rentals for the self-wash.

That's $210 of stuff for $20. I'm not pretending that's a normal business decision. It
isn't. It's an opening-night decision, for the hundred or so people I actually want in
this building, and it goes away with the party.

If your dog is ever going to set foot in here — that night or any night after — this is
the cheapest that will ever happen.

TO BE CLEAR: THE $20 IS NOT YOUR TICKET

The $20 membership and your party ticket are two separate things. The membership does not
get you in the door. Your ticket does.

• Party ticket — $25 / $35 / $45 depending on how fast you move, $69 at the door. This
  is admission. Everybody pays it, dog or no dog, member or not.

• $20 membership — the $99 annual membership, discounted for this party. This is your
  dog's paperwork and your $210 of park value. It is not admission.

So if you're bringing your dog, you're paying both: $20 for the membership, plus your
ticket at whatever tier is live when you sign up. Don't show up with a $20 membership
receipt and no ticket — that doesn't work, and I'd rather tell you now than have the door
tell you at 9 PM.

TWO WAYS TO SIGN UP

Not bringing a dog? Grab your ticket on Partiful. Done.

Bringing your dog? You have to sign up through the membership site with code
BARKNBASS2026. That's the only path that registers your dog, gets their behavior
assessment scheduled, and gets them approved for off-leash before the party. It's also what
locks in the $20 membership. Then get your ticket too — the membership isn't admission.

BRING YOUR DOG — THE RULES, AND I MEAN THEM

Your dog has to be registered and have completed their behavior assessment and been
approved for off-leash behavior no less than 24 hours before the event. Dogs without the
behavior assessment may be required to be on leash. Aggressive dogs may be asked to leave.

Your deadline is 7 PM Thursday, October 8. Miss it and your dog stays home and you still
come.

It's not red tape for its own sake. It's a room full of dogs at midnight with a bass line
next door, and every one of them goes home in one piece. That's the whole deal. Dog people
looking out for each other's dogs is the community I'm trying to build here, and it starts
on night one.

WHAT TO WEAR

Costumes, obviously. Fur, feathers, LEDs, goggles, glitter, very little fabric. I know what
most of you do in August. Bring that energy to Everett in October, indoors, where it's warm
and there's a tap wall.

HOUSE RULES

• 21 and over. ID at the door, no exceptions.

• Last call is 1:30 AM. Party runs til 2.

• Music stays in the cafe. The park stays the park.

• Indoors, so the weather doesn't get a vote.
